Marie Therese Ferrari was born at Enfield in Sydney, the only daughter of Luigi and Rosini Ferrari (both deceased). She was the beloved sister and sister-in-law of Aldo (deceased) and Isabel; Victor and Isobel, Louis and Marie, and Lawrence all of whom have died; and Ronald and Angela.
She attended school at St. Joseph’s Enfield, and Santa Sabina College, Strathfield.
On 11 February 1944, Marie Ferrari entered the Dominican Community at Maitland and was professed as Sr M Vincent on 6 December 1945.
Sr Mary Vincent taught at schools in Maitland, Newcastle, Strathfield, Moss Vale, Hobart and Tamworth.
In latter years she worked in administration at Signadou Campus, ACU Canberra.
When her health failed, Sr M Vincent moved to St Joseph’s Auburn, and then on to St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Sandgate, Newcastle, where she died peacefully on 12 March 2010.
