Dominican Education Network

Statement of Purpose

The Dominican Education Network exists under the auspices of the Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia to support and enhance their educational mission.

It seeks to be instrumental in contributing to the formation of staff in educational settings which have a Dominican tradition so that the charism may be remembered, shared and celebrated. This is facilitated through dialogue and communication with the Congregational Leadership Team and the Dominican Education Council.

The Role of the Network is:

• To sustain and carry forward the Dominican charism in schools with the Dominican tradition

• To convene regular staff and student gatherings to foster their experience of the Dominican charism

• To build and enhance supportive relationships among those who hold responsibility for the schools and for sharing the charism

• To maintain links with the Dominican Sisters and Dominican Family in order to ensure continuity of the tradition.
